Rake and Riddle
As a company we had the great pleasure in transforming the once known Sea Garden into the Rake and Riddle as its known today.
With its high spec and rustic look its one we really enjoyed being a part of. The development of the rake and riddle was over a few months period and was completed in stages.
Stage 1 was designing the layout of the lighting, emergency lighting, and small power 3phase power and fire alarm throughout the restaurant’s and kitchens. This was so we had had exact positions of each lights and small power points such as sockets and 3phase power points such commando sockets for kitchen appliances.
Stage 2 was the installation of containment and cables. This is where we would install containment such as metal tray work, metal trunking to support and protect each cable that is installed for its particular purpose. How ever where it was necessary protective armoured cable ( swa ) was used in certain areas such as external lighting. once all containment was installed we then installed the relevant cables to suit each fitting and appliance, such as pvc twin and cpc for lighting and small power, and SY protective cable for 3phase power such as kitchen appliances ( Rashional, hot cuboard, etc). we also installed FP cable with is a specialised cable used specifically for fire alarm systems. All lighting and power cables were run back to their designated Distribution board, each board installed was 3phase which was supplied from an MCCB panel which we had installed.
Stage 3 was second fixing, the involved connecting up all fittings and fixtures such as the lights, power, kitchen appliances, distribution boards, mccb panel and fire alarm panel
Stage 4 testing and inspecting, this involves visually and functionally checking every things that has been installed to make sure all the electrical installation has been done correctly, then a full test electrical test was done using the correct testing equipment to ensure the values of the whole installation are correct and apply to BS 7671.
